Frequently Asked Questions
?What are the main advantages of closed-cell foam insulation?
The closed-cell foam structure provides low thermal conductivity, high moisture resistance, and prevents condensation. It is highly elastic, helping to reduce vibration and noise in heating and cooling pipelines.
?What temperature range can this rubber insulation tolerate?
This insulation material exhibits excellent long-term temperature tolerance ranging from -50 degrees Celsius up to 110 degrees Celsius (-50°C to 110°C), making it suitable for hot and cold pipe applications.
?Does this insulation material meet fire safety standards?
Yes, it meets strict fire retardant requirements. It achieves Class 0 & Class 1 fire ratings according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7 and has a Flame Spread / Smoke Developed index of 25/50 under ASTM E 84.
?What forms and options are available for this insulation?
The insulation is available as flexible tubes, sheets, and rolls. Custom facings like FSK Aluminium Foil and self-adhesive Kraft paper backing are also available to meet different installation requirements.
?What is the expected lifespan of the rubber foam insulation?
Due to its excellent resistance to ozone, UV, weathering, and fungi, the material provides long-term sealing performance and has a designed service life of 10 to 30 years under normal conditions.
