Tube insulation is used to retard heat transmission and control condensation from chilled-water and refrigeration systems. It also efficiently reduces heat transfer for hot-water plumbing and liquid-heating and dual-temperature piping.

Ideal Applications:
  • Ductwork
  • Dual temperature and low pressure steam lines
  • Process piping
  • Air-conditioner, including hot gas piping

Slip the tubular insulation onto unconnected piping or, for connected piping, slit the insulation lengthwise and snap it over. Seal the joints and seams with adhesive. When installed outdoors, a weather-resistant protective finish is recommended to be applied over the surface to achieve maximum UV protection.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the temperature range of the tube insulation?
The tube insulation has an operating temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, tested in compliance with GB/T 17794-1999 standards.
What are the primary applications for this tube insulation?
It is ideal for ductwork, process piping, dual temperature and low-pressure steam lines, and air-conditioning units (including hot gas piping).
How do you install the tube insulation?
You can slip the tubular insulation directly onto unconnected pipes. For connected piping, slit the insulation lengthwise, snap it over the pipe, and seal all joints and seams securely with adhesive.
Can this insulation be used outdoors?
Yes, it can be used outdoors. However, applying a weather-resistant protective finish over the surface is highly recommended to ensure maximum protection against UV rays and weathering.
What is the fire performance rating?
The material achieves a Class 0 and Class 1 fire rating according to the BS 476 Part 6 & 7 test standards.
Does the insulation support mold growth?
No, the insulation features good fungi resistance when tested in accordance with ASTM 21 guidelines, along with good ozone and UV resistance.
