Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the main raw materials used in this elastomeric insulation tube?
The insulation tube is manufactured using premium butyronitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride (NBR, PVC) as the main raw materials, along with high-quality auxiliary materials processed through a special foaming procedure.
What is the operating temperature range for this insulation material?
This elastomeric insulation material operates effectively within a temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, making it suitable for a variety of hot and cold piping systems.
How does the closed-cell structure benefit heat insulation?
The independent closed foam structure provides low thermal conductivity (≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C) and high resistance to water vapor permeability, which ensures long-lasting and stable thermal insulation performance.
What are the fire resistance standards of this product?
It is a fire-resistant material with a Class 0 & Class 1 fire rating according to BS 476 Part 6 & 7 testing methods. Additionally, it has a Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index of 25/50 (ASTM E 84) and an Oxygen Index of ≥36.
What are the common applications of this elastomeric insulation tube?
It is widely used for the thermal insulation of various water and steam pipelines in central air-conditioning freezers, buildings, shipping, vehicles, and other industrial pipeline setups.
Does the material resist environmental factors like UV or fungi?
Yes, technical tests show that the material exhibits good resistance to fungi (ASTM 21), ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), and weathering/U.V. exposure (ASTM G23).
