Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Does the ultra-low temperature insulation system require an additional moisture barrier?

No, it does not. The elastic foam material is made of nitrile butadiene rubber with a unique closed-cell structure and polymer mix formula, which provides continuous, high resistance to water vapor penetration through the entire thickness of the product.

Q: What is the recommended operating temperature range for Kingflex ULT?

The recommended operating temperature for Kingflex ULT ranges from -200°C to 125°C, making it highly suitable for extreme cryogenic applications.

Q: What is the closed-cell percentage of this insulation material?

The material features a closed-cell rate of over 95% (tested under ASTM D2856), which prevents moisture migration and maintains long-term thermal efficiency.

Q: Where is this low-temperature insulation system typically applied?

It is designed for industrial applications including low-temperature storage tanks, agricultural chemical production plants, gas stations, nitrogen plants, and platform piping systems.

Q: What is the thermal conductivity performance of Kingflex ULT at cryogenic temperatures?

According to ASTM C177 test standards, the thermal conductivity of Kingflex ULT is 0.028 W/(m·K) at -100°C and decreases to 0.021 W/(m·K) at -165°C.
